Please scroll below to see some examples of my professional work. The postings are in the chronological order of my time at each firm. I have worked at a few firms and have mainly concentrated on residential design.
I hoping to start a new position in another residential firm where i can continue to grow as a professional.

The first posting on this blog is my thesis project, which was completed in 2005 at the New York Institute of Technology, where I received a Bachelors degree in Architecture.

Carroll Street Condominiums Brooklyn, NY - Standard Architects

This building is located in Red Hook, Brooklyn, which is a largely industrial area. Standard Architects was working with a developer to convert this building to 16 residences and 2 commercial units.
The facade was intended to be reminiscent of the original building, with a modern intervention to accommodate the new use. The original openings remain with the addition of a glass storefront behind and a sculptural canopy above, which extends into the residential entry.

Greene Street Residence SoHo, NYC - S.Russell Groves

The Greene Street Residence is a private residence that was renovated to accommodate the family's lifestyle. With the addition of a nursery, which was created using a storefront, a wall of concealed storage and a renovated kitchen as well as new finishes and furniture throughout. The concept was to create a warm comfortable home, but maintain the industrial loft feeling of the SoHo neighborhood.
The renovation was published in Interior Design magazine (photos below).

Frederic Fekkai Salon SoHo, NYC - S.Russell Groves

S.Russell Groves created an entirely new vision for Frederic Fekkai Salons. Using their sophisticated, feminine, french style, we updated and modernized the concept with raw materials and lush fabrics and prints. This is one example of the new salon roll out in Soho NYC.

Single Family Residence - Carmelhill Architects Long Island, NY

Carmelhill Architects is a small firm on Long Island that specializes in single family residences, additions and ground up homes. This is one example of the type of work I did there.

Thesis - New York Institue of Technology

This thesis was an exploration of building form as it relates to, and is derived from its site. The Marine Ecosystem Research Community was sited fifty miles off the coast of Australia in the Great Barrier Reef. The project investigated the formal relationships between site and building form, in this experiment the form was derived from the studying of movement of water. Through site analysis, the characteristics were derived and applied to the new building form, producing a form that has inherited the natural forms of the site.
