Carroll Street Condominiums Brooklyn, NY - Standard Architects

This building is located in Red Hook, Brooklyn, which is a largely industrial area. Standard Architects was working with a developer to convert this building to 16 residences and 2 commercial units.
The facade was intended to be reminiscent of the original building, with a modern intervention to accommodate the new use. The original openings remain with the addition of a glass storefront behind and a sculptural canopy above, which extends into the residential entry.
